Join OHIMA's Leadership Series Book Club!
Leading in Health Information Management requires many technical and soft people skills, with the most notable talent being leading functional teams. This year's OHIMA Book Club Series will focus on two books written by Patrick Lencioni – The Five Dysfunctions of a Team and The Ideal Team Player. Patrick has authored sixteen books focused on leadership within organizations, and he is the founder of The Table Group. His practical work experiences come from industry, but the concepts he outlines within his books can be applied to any organization.
In the first book club meeting, we will discuss The Five Dysfunctions of a Team and how to utilize the ideas within our work units practically. Study questions will be provided before the meeting so members can apply the concepts in real-world scenarios. The book club's first meeting will be on Wednesday, March 1st, at 4:30 p.m. virtually. You can purchase The Five Dysfunctions of a Team on the Amazon website.
