Dear OHIMA Members,
I hope this message finds you well. As I step into the role of OHIMA President, I am filled with immense gratitude for the opportunity to serve this incredible board. Thank you for entrusting me with this responsibility. I am truly looking forward to working closely with each one of you to further our mission and support our HIM community.
A special thank you goes to Clarice Warner for her exceptional service and guidance throughout this transition. Clarice, your leadership and support have been invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for your mentorship.
I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation to all our members. This year has been one of significant challenges and triumphs for our HIM profession. With the support of our members and HIM professionals across the country, we successfully opposed the 40% requirement from AHIMA. This victory is a testament to our collective strength and determination. Thank you all for your unwavering commitment and advocacy. Your dedication and resilience have been nothing short of inspiring. Together, we have navigated through many ups and downs, and I am confident that we will continue to rise to every occasion.
I am thrilled to announce that the OHIMA 2025 Annual Meeting & Trade Show will take place at a new venue: Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center, located at 100 Green Meadows Drive, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035, just north of Columbus from March 17-19, 2025. The theme for our upcoming conference is "Refresh Your Skill, Recharge Your Knowledge, and Rejuvenate Your Passion for HIM." This theme truly embodies our goals for the coming year.
