OHIMA 2017 Achievement Award Winners

The OHIMA 2017 Achievement Awards were presented during the General Session on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the OHIMA Annual Meeting & Trade Show.  Congratulations to our award winners:

DISTINGUISHED MEMBER
Lauree E. Handlon, MS, RHIA, CCS, COC, FAHIMA

OHIMA's highest honor, the Distinguished Member Award, recognizes Lauree Handlon for demonstrating exceptional leadership & service throughout her career.

Lauree has served the HIM profession tirelessly.  She has been a star at her workplace and in her volunteer role with OHIMA – and yet she still finds the time to serve on boards, present and publish, and serve as a preceptor, mentor and adjunct faculty to future healthcare professionals.  It would be an understatement to say that Lauree "serves" - she goes above and beyond in every single endeavor, every single time - without fail.

Congrats Lauree!
